Following the decision taken last month in that the senior leagues (both men and women) for 2019/2020 were terminated and cancelled, the MBA Council, as promised, met again this evening to decide on the other senior category finals and the junior leagues which were, in April, postponed pending a further decision in May.

In this evening’s meeting of the MBA Council, the MBA Executive Committee and the clubs’ representatives unanimously decided to cancel out rightly all the remaining un-played games and competitions, both the main league and other cups, in all categories from the Senior category right down to the under 14 category.

In this regard, the local basketball season 2019/2020 is now closed and due to the cancellation of every league in each category, no team will be recognised as the champion of the respective category this year.
